Vishwakarma Puja was celebrated with joy and vigour. Kids and people were flying kites. There were pandals on every twists and turns.
The best part is by the time Vishwakarma Puja is over it is time for Durga Puja. Honestly it already feels like Durga Puja. The countdown has already begun.
Kolkata rathyatra and mela is held at Maidan opposite Parkstreet Metro station every year. This mela is held by ISKCON. The Rath initially comes from Iskcon to Maidan. Devotees from all over Kolkata and abroad come and pull the rath. At the Mela grounds Maha Prashad is distributed and cultural programs are held. Devotees come here to have darshan of Sri jagannath, subhadra and balaram who travel to Masis Bari in the rath. After all the hassles of the city and busy daily life this is the place to be to recollect and recharge yourself.
